Half-marathon Course

(First Half of Marathon)

Runners will start together just west of N. Walnut and Van Buren intersection 2 Blocks West of the Courthouse downtown.

Runners will go east on Van Buren, cross the Blue River and turn right onto Tower View Drive.

Just after the Mile-2 mark (aid #1 and #6), the course heads east on County Road 100S to Williams Drive, left on Business 30 and then takes a sharp right turn onto Paige Road.

Runners then angle left onto Raber Road (aid #2 and #5), then right onto 300 S. just after Mile-6 for a triangle loop on to Keiser Road and back to Raber Road (aid #3 and #4).

The course then heads back into town on Raber Road, turn left onto Swihart (aid #2 and #5), right onto Ohio Street, right again onto Business 30, then left onto Tower View (aid #1 and #6).

After a short distance on Tower View Drive, runners head west onto Hanna Street, passing Mile-12, and then right onto Whitley Street (aid #7) and then left onto Van Buren to the Half-marathon finish line on the north side of the Courthouse Square.

2nd Half to Marathon Course

Full marathon runners will cross the timing pad at the half-way point to log their half-marathon split, then turn left (South) onto Chauncey Steet. Runners will then make a right (West) onto Ellsworth (aid #8) heading out of town on Old Trail Road.

The course then turns left onto Whitley Road (aid #9 and #13), passing Mile-16 and Mile 17, and (aid #10 and #12), then turning right on 425W at Mile-18.

Just before Mile-19, runners go back onto Old Trail Road (aid # 11)through a hilly section for a short distance before turning right on 350W and down to Whitley Road.

Rather than returning to town on Old Trail Road, marathoners turn left (aid #9 and #13) and then right onto Wolf Road near Mile-23.

Just before Mile-24, runners turn right on Business 30 (aid #14) with a view of the courthouse and only two miles to go. Returning to Van Buren, right turn on Chauncey to the finish line which is on the west side of the Courthouse Square this is different then where the half-marathon-split took place and the half-marathon finish line.
